We used the Freedom of Information Act and secured the Non Compliance Reports from the Food and Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) of the USDA for 5 different USDA Processing Plants in our region for a 2 year period.
We have made personal visits to multiple USDA plants and have witnessed animal tracking, handling, carcass cleaning, storage, cutting and wrapping.
We feel we know where to go with our animals and just as importantly where not to go.
We use Vermont Packinghouse, a USDA Inspected facility located in Springfield VT, as our primary processor.
When the process is completed, quality control is back in our hands. We pick up our beef with our custom built freezer trailer to ensure the integrity of the cold chain.
Our customers’ beef is cut and packaged to their specifications.
